A Story of Tea Tree Oil
In 1770, Captain James Cook from English landed in Australia. He discovered that the local Maoris drank tea that was made from a strong-smelling leave. He then named such leave as “tea tree”. This tea tree was not only drunk by the Maoris, they were used for wounds. Captain James Cook was very curious about the different uses of “tea tree”. He collected tea tree leaves and passed to chemists for studies. This is how the study of tea tree oil begins.
