Slimming Tea

There are many different slimming teas in the market and their prices and efficacy vary a lot. Most of these slimming teas are actually Chinese tea (green tea or oolong tea) mixed with some herbs. But some of these slimming teas may cause disorders like diarrhea. If possible, it is best DIY your own herbal slimming tea, which is more gentle to your digestive system.

Green Slimming Tea
The slimming property of green tea or green slimming tea comes from polyphenol, catechuic acid, caffeine and vitamin C. These substances keep down the absorption of fat and carbohydrates and speed up fat burning process.

Catechuic acid is a type of tannin and it increases body metabolism, especially the metabolism of fat. It stimulates the hydrolysis of fat. Actually, both green tea and red tea (black tea) contain catechuic acid. Because of the lack of fermentation, larger amounts of the nutrients including polyphenol and catechuic acid are kept in green tea to provide a better slimming property. Drinking a cup of green tea after meal slows down the rapid increase in insulin.

Tannin in green tea provides a significant effect in controlling blood pressure. Besides, it helps the excretion of excessive cholesterol. Therefore, drinking green tea not only provides a slimming effect, but also promotes health.

Red tea (black tea) is rich in caffeine and theaflavin which helps body slimming by increasing body metabolism. Caffeine helps decompose fat which is easier to be burnt with exercise. In addition, Caffeine helps dilate blood vessels and boost metabolism of water, helps the excretion of metabolism waste.

Cho Yung Slimming Tea
Cho Yung Tea is a mixture of green tea and other herbal ingredients including Poria, Cassia seeds, Oolong tea, Alisma rhizome, Hawthorn, Lotus leaf, and Jiaogulan. It helps lose weight by supporting digestion, boosting metabolic rate, strengthening immunity and burning extra calories from the body.
